Situated within the vast forest of the northern Appalachian mountains, the Saco Bath House merges the given material palette with the existing landscape to create a multifaceted space defined by degrees of elevation, light and comfort.
The structure is disconnected from the ground and relies on a series of ribbon like apertures to vary the comfort levels throughout the program. Several changes in height allow spatial features to further adjust degrees of comfort and privacy.
